🥇 1. Granular & Spectral Modes

These oscillator types opened up sound design territory that Serum 1 simply couldn’t touch. From glitchy textures to ethereal pads, Granular and Spectral let us turn the weirdest audio snippets into musical gold.

🥈 2. Multisample & SFZ Support

Import full multi-sampled instruments directly into Serum. Think Kontakt-style realism fused with wavetable synthesis. Incredible for hybrid sounds.

🥉 3. Clip Sequencer

Sketch full MIDI patterns and automation directly inside Serum. A huge boost for writing melodies and rhythms on the fly.

4. FX Rack & Convolution Reverb

Dual FX busses, 13 effects, and a great-sounding convolution reverb. Less need to reach for external plugins.

5. 10 LFOs + Chaos Modes

With new chaos LFOs and better editing tools, modulation got way more creative. Great for evolving textures and unpredictable movement.

6. Mixer View & Routing

A visual way to manage signal flow from oscillators, filters, and FX. Super useful for layered patches.

7. Improved Preset Browser

Search, tag, rate, and preview presets fast. A small change, but makes daily workflow smoother.

8. Dual Filters + New Types

More filter options and routing flexibility. Great for FX-heavy patches, but not a huge workflow shift.

9. Enhanced Arpeggiator

Advanced and detailed, but we still build most arps in the DAW. Still handy for inspiration or live setups.

10. Keyboard & Oscillator Mapping

Nice for performance setups and control freaks, but not something we use day to day.

🌟 Final Verdict

If you haven’t already jumped in—Serum 2 is a no-brainer for serious producers and sound designers. The new oscillator modes alone are worth the upgrade.
